8 - GIVE THE ILLUSTRATION OF THE SOCIETY OF THAT TIME:-

"We must reform society before we can reform ourselves."
- George Bernard Shaw

Humans considered as a social animal. We live in a society which thinks that we should follow the rule what they decide. And who doesn't follow the rules of society, society snatch the right to stay them in perticular area or group.  As a example we can see the life of Oscar Wilde. He born in a wealthy family and has an intelligent mind. He wrote so many great works and inspires further writers. But the act of homosexuality being a reason of his downfall and also banished from the society. And in end he died case of loneliness and depression.
In Pride and Prejudice the society shown as upper class and lower class. Mr Darcy and Mr. Bingley considered from upper class while Elizabeth and her family considered as a lower class in novel. Mr. Darcy first judge Elizabeth from her class. Through the Character of Charlotte, we can see that society deside the age for marriage and if they don't marry in time a perticular person considered as a burden of the family and it's applied only for the female.
Through the character of Mrs. Bennett, we can see that she a kind of a society women who wants to show off and tell everyone that how she follows the rules of society. For the praise of the Jane she said that there is no one in the neighbourhood beutiful than my Jane. Her character reflects the major thinking of the womens of that time.
The character of Elizabeth seems minority in society who knows that society can never ask about our happiness and cares about only themselves. Elizabeth is a good reader and can think by herself and stands for herself. Jane Austen reflects so many aspects of the society through the different characters in the novel.
