ABOUT DISSERTATION:-
This dissertation explores the world of anime and manga fandom, focusing on the dedicated viewers and readers who form the core audience for these popular Japanese art forms. The research delves into the realms of audience studies and fan studies, offering a comprehensive examination of this unique subculture.
By providing a detailed historical context for manga (Japanese graphic novels) and anime (Japanese animated productions), the dissertation aims to shed light on the deeper meanings and cultural significance of these art forms. Recognizing the relative novelty of this topic, especially for a master's student from Gujarat, the research aims to contribute to an underexplored area of scholarly inquiry.
